This mandatory training is designed for all new staff who are joining the Agency. This is a 2-week course where we set staff up for success by covering Company Policies and Procedures, DODD 8-hour training requirements, Positive Behavior Support, Documentation Training, and more. The class is tailored based on size and work location, with real-life scenarios to prepare staff for their new position within Access.
Annual training is held once each year for everyone employed in the Agency. Conducted in small groups over 1 week, it provides a refresher on DODD requirements along with additional information to help staff grow. Trainings are scheduled by work location so site-specific needs can be addressed to best support individuals.
This course helps staff understand how to respond during behaviors. It covers trauma effects, the Rage cycle, supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, non-verbal communication, active listening, de-escalation techniques, and physical safety strategies to protect both staff and individuals if intervention is required.
Our dedicated approach fosters independence and dignity for your family members with unique needs.
